Voice Thread is awesome. I like how you can draw on it and circle words or pictures. I can also see a good use for doodling too. : ) I want to start to create on it to get the big picture of its many uses. I would like to encourage the teachers at my school to use it as well. Showing the students that the teachers are working together to develop a lesson would be empowering. We can record our knowledge about the subject from many different views. The students can record about what they learned from the lesson and it becomes another way to grade them. I like the usefulness for art. This would be encouraging for students to use the vocabulary words to describe or critique a picture. I always wanted the students to critique artwork without having other students snickering at them.
For the ESOL students, this could help me to get the students write what they record. They can tell me anything, but writing what they say is challenging when they are still trying to learn how to spell words. The only question I have is having the time to create it and students using it.
